ESAB Welding Electrode OK 63.2 E316L-16 2.5x300mm 1/4 VP 4.5Kg Made In Sweden.
The ESAB OK 63.2 Welding Electrode (Part No. 63202520T0) is a premium AWS A5.4 / ASME SFA5.4 E316L-16 rutile-coated stainless steel electrode developed for Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) of AISI 316, 316L, 318, and similar molybdenum-alloyed austenitic stainless steels. Manufactured in Sweden, this electrode delivers outstanding corrosion resistance, excellent mechanical properties, and superior weld quality for critical industrial applications.
With a 2.5 mm diameter and 300 mm length, the OK 63.2 electrode is ideal for welding thin to medium-thickness stainless steel components. Its low-carbon (L) weld deposit minimizes carbide precipitation during welding, reducing the risk of intergranular corrosion while providing excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and aggressive chemical environments.
The rutile coating provides easy arc ignition and re-ignition, smooth and stable arc characteristics, low spatter, and easy slag removal, producing clean weld beads with an excellent surface finish. Suitable for all-position welding, it is widely used in chemical processing plants, food and beverage equipment, pharmaceutical industries, marine fabrication, offshore structures, pressure vessels, piping systems, and heat exchangers.
The electrodes are supplied in a 4.5 kg quarter vacuum-packed (1/4 VP) box, providing excellent moisture protection, longer shelf life, and consistent welding performance in demanding workshop and site conditions.
